What is in the build you can download today

Organised by what it does for you, not by how it was built.

Everything on this page is in the current release. Things being worked on are on the roadmap instead, and the difference is kept honest on purpose.

01
Think

A model on your own hardware.

Local reasoning

SIN talks to a model served by Ollama on your machine. The endpoint is fixed to loopback in code — the interface cannot be made to point it at a remote server, which is what stops a settings field from becoming a data-exfiltration route.

Four ways to think

Quick skips deliberation and answers in about two seconds. Normal is the model's own behaviour. Deep asks for more reasoning and doubles the budget. Auto picks between them from the room it has to work in.

Answers as they're written

The model can start producing text in well under half a second, and now you see it: words arrive as SIN writes them instead of a long silent wait for the whole answer. Change your mind mid-answer and press Stop — whatever it had already written stays on screen.

Model manager

Browse, install and remove models from inside SIN, with real download progress. No ollama pull, no terminal window, no guessing whether a nine-gigabyte download is still moving.

Runtime without a terminal

SIN detects whether Ollama is installed and running, and starts it if not — no console window, and it verifies the runtime actually answered rather than reporting success because a process appeared. If it cannot, it says exactly why.

02
Organise

Things that have to survive you closing the window.

Closing the window puts SIN away

It does not quit. SIN keeps an icon by the clock, and the overlay, the global shortcut and anything on a schedule go on working with no window open. Quitting properly is a menu item on that icon, and it is the only thing that does it.

Tasks and reminders

Create, list, skip and cancel. Recurring reminders fire on a real clock and survive a restart — and a restart never re-fires what already fired.

Reminders from conversation

“Remind me to call Mum at six” produces a proposal you confirm, not a reminder set from a guess. A hallucinated time is worse than no reminder.

Memory

SIN keeps what it has been told about the things you talk about, per agent, in a database on your disk. You can read it, and you can delete it.

Inbox

When a reminder fires it is delivered somewhere durable rather than shown once and lost. Opening the screen does not mark anything read — that takes a gesture from you.

The conversation stays put

Go to Home, the Office, System, and back. The conversation is still there, mid sentence if that is where you left it.

History

What agents were allowed to do to this machine, what a paired phone did, and what was filed for you — reminders that came due, workflows that finished running — merged into one screen, newest first. If a source can't be read it says so rather than quietly showing an empty list that looks like an all-clear.

03
Work

A team, and a room to put them in.

Agents with identities

Every agent you create is given a generated name and a personality built from twelve bounded traits. Not “New agent 3”. The name is stable, and the archetype is derived from the traits rather than stored beside them where the two could disagree.

Personality is not permission

A bold agent is not a more privileged one. Personality changes how an agent writes and nothing else — the boundary is structural, and there are tests whose whole job is to fail if it ever stops being.

The Office

A room you lay out: desks, workstations, zones, and agents assigned to them. It persists. It shows what is actually true — an agent with nothing to do is shown as idle rather than animated to look busy.

Character Studio

Give SIN a face and a manner. Appearance, expressions, tone, verbosity, directness and how much initiative it takes.

04
Assist

Reaching your computer, with the brakes on.

Files and programs

SIN can list, move, create and delete under permissions you grant, and start or stop programs. Each of those is a capability you turn on, not a default.

Looking at your screen

SIN can take a screenshot and describe it with a vision model, while an indicator shows when it is looking. Point it at one window or one monitor instead of the whole desktop, and keep a list of windows it may never capture — password managers, Windows' credential prompts and private browsing windows are refused out of the box, re-checked on every single capture. Text on screen that tries to give SIN instructions is reported as an attempt rather than obeyed.

The overlay, and a key to summon it

A small HUD that sits over whatever you are doing, brought up from anywhere with a global shortcut — Ctrl+Alt+S — without alt-tabbing back to SIN first. Drag it where you want it and it stays there between restarts, and it streams SIN's reply in place. That combination is the only one bound, and there is no screen for changing it yet.

Workflows

An ordered list of steps you build on the Workflows screen and run when you press Run. It stops at the first failure instead of carrying on as though the rest still made sense. Or put it on a clock: pick a workflow instead of an agent when you add a reminder, and SIN runs it itself at that time rather than leaving you a task to start. Editing a saved one is on the roadmap rather than in this build.

System

Runtime health, model status, agents, performance and diagnostics, in compact panels that open into their own windows rather than one endless page.

Updates

SIN checks for a new version at most every six hours, never while you are gaming or mid-answer, and installs only after verifying the signature. Pressing Check yourself always works immediately.

05
Personalise

It should look like your computer, not ours.

Themes

Preset themes and your own colours, applied through a semantic token system so every panel stays legible instead of each component inventing its own palette.

Density and type

Adjust spacing and typographic scale for the screen you actually have.

Windows inside the window

Panels open, move, resize and remember where you put them, so a detail view does not mean losing your place.

First run

Five steps, and one of them makes SIN actually answer something so you leave setup knowing it works rather than hoping.
