SIN
Three lists, and no dates.
Now is being built. Next is decided but not started. Exploring means we are still working out whether it should exist — several of these will be dropped, and that is what the word means here. Nothing on this page has a promised date, because we have not committed to one and inventing one would be the easiest lie on the site.
Being built
Editing and approving workflows
Building, running and scheduling a workflow all work now — a scheduled one runs itself at the time, rather than leaving you a task to start. Two things are left. Editing a saved workflow: today you delete it and build it again, because a workflow whose steps changed after it had already run would be a different workflow wearing the old one's name. And approvals: a step that would need your permission is currently refused outright, when the workflow is saved and again if it runs. No step in this build needs one, and the refusal is deliberate: until there is a real way to approve a step, the first one that needs it cannot quietly run without you.
Installing the runtime for you
SIN already detects Ollama and starts it without a terminal. It cannot yet install it. Until it can, first-time setup still involves a separate download from someone else's website.
Code signing
Until SIN is signed with a certificate, Windows warns every new user that the publisher is unknown — which is correct, and which most people will reasonably refuse to click through.
Decided, not started
Rebinding the shortcut
Ctrl+Alt+S summons the overlay from anywhere, and closing the window now puts SIN in the tray rather than quitting it — both shipped. What is missing is a screen for changing that combination, or for binding the overlay's other modes to one of your own. Refusing a key a game would also read is already handled; there is just nowhere to choose one.
Game mode
Notice a game is running and get out of the way: no notifications, no background work, no updates until you are done. Some of this already exists inside the updater; none of it is a mode you can see yet.
Media controls
What is playing, and pause/skip/volume, using the controls Windows already exposes. Not a music service.
Settings that are organised
Settings are growing faster than their structure. They want proper categories before they become one long page nobody can find anything in.
Warming the model
Loading the model takes about 7.5 seconds and is currently paid by whoever sends the first message. It could be paid while you are still reading the window.
Undecided
Clip the last 60 seconds
A replay buffer with a hotkey. Genuinely useful and genuinely expensive — a background buffer that costs you frames is worse than no feature, so this happens only if it can be done without you noticing it is on.
macOS and Linux
Real work, not a checkbox: screen capture, runtime detection and certificate handling are all Windows-specific today. Wanted, unscheduled.
A paid tier
SIN is free and the local product will stay useful without paying. If a paid tier appears it will be for things that genuinely cost us money to run — sync across machines, hosted models — not for unlocking what your own computer already does.
